My First Pop Up Balery

A huge thank you to my friend who runs Akasha Yoga Studio here in Florida. She is phenomenal and I’m very happy she’s been able to celebrate her 2 year anniversary of the studio and got a few of us in to sell things to share in her day.

I think it went fantastically. I learned a lot for any future markets I decide to do AND I made a bit of money as well. It was an enjoyable experience.

Things I learned:
-Square readers are invaluable and the upgraded tap one is way better than the cheapest one that won’t allow tap. I am an Android user, so I did not have apple pay options.
I’ve upgraded methods of payment and even got a business Venmo.

-QR codes on the menu are also fantastic ideas instead of just a follow request.
I’ll be adding a page where you can follow or checkout.

-Packaging size matters. What I mean by that is if you have a medium sized cinnamon roll in a giant box, it looks very small and it has the perception of you’re being undersold a product that COULD have been more.

-What you think will do the best doesn’t actually always do the best. I added some apple butter scones along with everything else and they sold out. I thought cookies would, nope apple butter scones and brownies.

-Have change in case someone wants to pay cash

Things that went well:

-Labels make all the difference. It made it look polished but also still “homey.”

-Its better to have too much than not enough as far as what you’ve made.

-I got set up before I went for pricing and making sure I was at about a 30% food cost, to see how much it was to actually make everything.

-Don’t always judge your audience. Amazing people hanging out at a yoga studio a lot are not opposed to some cookies or brownies.

-Reception overall was amazing and people really liked everything.

-Because this went so well, I definitely want to do it again.

The recipes I made were amazing and of course all sourdough

Links by clicking on them, and they are in order with the below pictures:

Jalapeno Popper Scones (I don’t use bacon)

Brownies (I add marshmallows)

Apple Butter Scones (I made an apple butter and powdered sugar glaze and dipped them)

Cinnamon Rolls (I use vanilla bean paste in the frosting)

Biscoff Cookies

I definitely enjoyed it and look forward to doing maybe more markets and also having some crochet things available as well.
Thank you always for your love and support!
