Current Projects
Y’all know I normally have like 50 projects going. So here’s a recap of some recently finished and other ones I’m working on.
I recently finished the Diablo Hot Sauce Yoga Bag. I’m ALMOST done with the pattern, just trying to make sure it all makes sense :).
This was a fun bag to make. I love the fabric I lined it with however, I will not recommend it for a yoga bag. I didn’t realize it was going to a like stretchy material, stretchy fabric and yoga mats do not mesh well an its a struggle to get my mat in the bag every time now due to the type of fabric. So, its pretty but non-functional really.
I also recently finished this gigantic almost suitcase level of granny square bag. Its literally huge, its so big. I love the flowers and was like yea go big or go home. I made it 3 wide by 2 tall and then the bottom and the sides as well. I got some fusible fabric liner on the base so it keeps level. I also had to sew a ton of fabric in this for the full liner, It took quite a while. If I make again it will be much smaller. This was a PROJECT.
I’ve also been working on some granny squares to make some little pouches. I think little drawstring bags would be amazing to have for like markets and such that I am wanting to look at doing. This one has been a fave. Its so pretty and also big. I have to work on tweaking it a bit though as first try didn’t turn out quite how I wanted.
Lastly, the big ol project. I am working on a throw for my sister. She’s a surgical tech in labor and delivery. I am working on a very large, single crochet…yes you read that correctly…SINGLE CROCHET throw blanket for her. Its all tapestry and will be available as a pattern once I’m done. The amount of end weaving I am going to have to do with this o my god. It will be worth it to see her happy face with it however. I know she’s going to love it!
So, that’s the things that have been on my hook recently…o and beanies of course, I’m trying to get ready for the fall we never see in Florida.
Happy crocheting!
